Senior QA Engineer

Our client is a Swedish tech provider that is currently developing AndroidTv, TVos, and Amazon FireTV apps for Video streaming. Their team is around 50 people. Most of them are located in Sweden.
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with extensive experience in testing streaming applications on multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, Android TV, tvOS, and web apps (Samsung Tizen, LG WebOS).
There is a strong emphasis on mobile test automation in this role — hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks and access to physical devices is essential.
Experience with test automation on any of these platforms is highly desirable.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of QA experience, especially with a focus on streaming applications
- Experience in test automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, and Cypress.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies, including the use of Kanban boards and managing releases within Jira.
- Must have access to personal mobile devices — Android and iOS — for testing purposes (emulators only are not sufficient).
- Work remotely using Slack and Google Meet, following Stockholm/Sweden time zone hours.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Fluent English
Responsibilities:
- Manage QA for streaming apps built by two different development teams.
- Create and carry out manual and automated testing strategies.
- Work with teams using Agile methods (Kanban boards in Jira) and tools such as Google Spreadsheets, Slack, and Google Meet
- Organize and conduct different types of tests, such as functional, integration, acceptance, regression, and release tests.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure top-quality results.
