Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and managing our strong data infrastructure, improving ETL workflows, and ensuring data is accurate and accessible across different platforms. We are seeking a skilled data specialist with practical experience and a solid background in data engineering, data governance, and cloud platform expertise.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Extensive experience with MySQL and Snowflake
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Spark
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions and B.I. reporting platforms
(e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Looker, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ETL frameworks and hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
- Experience with real-time data processing, APIs, and data streaming.
- Ability to implement machine learning solutions and collaborate on data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in data governance, ensuring compliance with security standards and policies.
- Proficient in using tools such as Rundeck, Oozie, and experience with data pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Good oral and written English is a must.
Nice to have:
- Experience with ML workflows, including integration into data systems.
- Familiarity with data security protocols and best practices for data compliance.
- Proven ability to mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Implement and manage data warehouses and cloud-based storage solutions to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Ensure data quality and reliability through robust testing, monitoring, and validation procedures.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Optimize performance of SQL queries and large-scale data systems.
- Assist in implementing advanced analytics and machine learning workflows.
- Manage and maintain the performance, accessibility, and security of databases and ensure optimal operation and reliability.
- Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance.
